Posted under Design, Web by admin on July 15th, 2008 3:44 am

cssgirl.com has written a nice tutorial of how to create rounded corner boxes using CSS and images. There are two kinds of boxes, there are:

  • A flat rounded corner CSS box without effects
  • A box with a drop shadow, border and gradient.

You will need Photoshop or another graphic design software to create those nice CSS boxes. These boxes are so cool because they are also expandable in some heights. Experiment with your own box color and round corner radius! It will be great for a start.

Quark For indesign

QuarkXpress and Adobe InDesign are the two main layout programs used in the graphic design industry. Quark was the leader–and almost the only game in town–until about 2002 when Adobe released InDesign. At that time many Quark users were irritated that their needs were not being address and InDesign really came in at the perfect time. Many Quark users quickly jumped over to InDesign. Adobe was really smart in practically giving in away free if you bought the Creative Suite–basically a bundle of Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat–the core programs in any designer’s arsenal. But Quark is still hanging on and indeed, will probably never go away, so it’s good to at least be comfortable working in both, even if you prefer one over the other. Last time I told you about the Tools palette in Quark, and also pointed out some helpful shortcuts you can use. It’s important to know the differences between Quark and InDesign in terms of working with images.

Abstract Corporate Logo Designs or Symbolic Corporate Logo Designs
A nonfigurative corporate logo design without any clear cut association is an abstract or symbolic corporate logo design. Abstract or symbolic corporate logo designs are suitable for conglomerate corporations.

Typographic Corporate Logo Designs
Graphical representation of a company’s name or initials is a typographical corporate logo design. Typographical corporate logo designs are popularly known as logotypes. Since these logos are based on the name of the company, companies with long standing names go for typographical corporate logo designs.
